Partners in Aging


AARP Local Chapter 5239 and AARP Virginia. LOWLINC partners with this prominent senior-serving organization to conduct workshops and provide speakers for LOWLINC programs.

Aging Together
is an alliance of more than 150 senior-serving organizations and individuals that serves the five-county region of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock by providing programs and resources, including a comprehensive Regional Resource Guide for Older Adults. LOWLINC regularly collaborates with Aging Together.

Lake of the Woods Association.
 Supports LOWLINC by providing meeting space, venues and security for our programs and events.

Lake of the Woods Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
LOWLINC partners with LOW Fire and Rescue #29 to present life-saving workshops and educational programs to the community.
Mary Washington Healthcare. Provides speakers and instruction teams for LOWLINC health and wellness programs.

Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services. Among other human services, provides comprehensive aging services to the five-county region of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock, and is the Area Agency on Aging. Partners with LOWLINC to provide wheelchair-accessible transit van for all residents of eastern Orange County.
RRCS Logo
Regional Transportation Collaborative. Group that brings together the various transportation services in the five-county area of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock for purposes of resource sharing and leveraging. LOWLINC is the beneficiary of grants obtained by RTC.

TRIAD/SALT Council.
 Orange County Sheriff's Department group that provides services, fraud prevention, and safety equipment to older adults. 
University of Mary Washington. Students in the UMW Honors Program conduct projects with LOWLINC members to fulfill the students' community service commitment. Projects have created oral histories and a Smartphone Manual for Older Adults.

Village Organizations:

Village to Village Network
(VtVN) is a membership-based organization that brings national and international villages together to share best practices for enabling older adults to live independent, healthy, purposeful lives with connections to their communities.
The Washington Area Villages Exchange (WAVE) is a forum through which nonprofit villages in the Washington D.C metropolitan area share experience and ideas to strengthen their services to older adults in their communities.
