LOWLINC Membership
LOWLINC is committed to the belief that people live longer, healthier and happier lives when they are safe at home, meaningfully connected to others in the community, and in control of their own lives.
Membership in LOWLINC helps you continue to enjoy living independently by providing a wide range of services - including transportation to and from medical appointments, basic home maintenance/handyman help, running errands, friendly visits or phone buddies, and more - through our large network of trained and vetted volunteers. See our Member Services page for more details about the scope of our volunteer services. For services beyond the scope of what LOWLINC volunteers can provide, our Preferred Service Providers program offers members referrals to potential contractors and paid service providers.
LOWLINC also provides a wide range of programs, events, and social activities for members. These include lectures in our Speaker Series, game days or nights, holiday parties, outings to movies and cultural events, a walking program, and informal dining out groups, to name a few.
Fees
Membership in LOWLINC is fee-based. The annual membership fee is $500 per household or $400 per individual. LOWLINC does provide a limited number of reduced-fee memberships for older adults with demonstrated need. Fees help offset the costs of vetting our volunteers, maintaining our phone call handling system, our volunteer scheduling system, our Member Services Manager to coordinate all this, insurance and some program or activity costs.
