LOWLINC Teams


LOWLINC's teams serve our members, engage volunteers and carry out activities that support our organization. Both volunteers and members play active roles in each of our teams. Email info@lowlinc.org to learn how you can become a member of a LOWLINC Team!
  • Member Appreciation Team -- is essential to supporting members and letting them know how much they are appreciated. The Team supports members through welcome calls and new member receptions; coordinates delivery of Thanksgiving dinners and holiday gift bags; sends birthday cards; and helps design the annual member survey, which helps us gather feedback and respond to members’ interests and requests.

  • Volunteer Appreciation Team -- essential to supporting our dedicated volunteers and letting them know how much they are appreciated. The Team supports volunteers through welcome calls and volunteer recognition events; leads monthly volunteer orientation, and refresher sessions; sends birthday cards; and helps design and implement the annual volunteer survey, which helps us gather feedback and respond to suggestions.

  • Social Activities Team -- coordinates a wide range of social activities, including game days; craft events; LOWLINC’s Annual Holiday Party; Meet, Eat, and Greet dinners; and an exciting variety of minibus outings to destinations that include theaters, museums, wineries, shopping, and local restaurants.

  • Health and Wellness Team -- supports our members and volunteers in staying healthy and active! Team members coordinate monthly LOWLINC Speaker Series meetings on a wide range of engaging topics; lead a weekly walking group; and organize LOWLINC’s Annual Vaccine Clinic, Clean-out Projects, and other special programs.

  • Call Handlers Team -- represents LOWLINC’s “front door,” because these volunteers are often the first contact that help people have with LOWLINC. Call Handlers are compassionate, good listeners, and capable users of our database system. They receive initial training from our Member Services Coordinator, attend monthly meetings to stay up to date and enjoy getting to know our members and volunteers while ensuring that service requests are received and fulfilled.

  • Communications Team -- publishes LOWLINC’s quarterly newsletter, NewsLinc, and works on special communication projects. In 2025, the Team will be working on publicity recognizing LOWLINC’s 10th Anniversary!

  • Administrative Team -- Assist with stuffing envelopes, prepare member and volunteer folders, and other administrative tasks.

  • Tech Team -- provides technical assistance to the organization by providing videography services, especially recording and posting Speaker Series meetings, and photography services so we can share photos of LOWLINC activities and accomplishments. The Team also organizes and presents monthly Tech Talks and supports LOWLINC members and volunteers through special projects.
